PWD workers threaten to paralyse essential services

They had a dharna in Panaji to protest against recruitment of new staff by sidelining them.

According to them, government has committed contempt of court.

AITUCGeneral Secretary Raju Mangeshkar alleged that the Government had conducted interviews of new recruits by ignoring court orders.

The court had directed the government to give first preference to the society workers.

They have been working on contract for the last 15 years.
