Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that the government is in talks with the Akshaypatr programme for supplying mid-day meals in schools across the state.

However, the government also intends to protect the interest of the Self Help Groups currently providing the service.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was responding to a question from St. Andre MLA Francis Silveira on Mid-Day meals.

There are around 105 self-help groups in the state which supply mid-day meals in schools. CM said that quality of food will not be compromised.
