Mining truck owners come down on demand, BJP assures to intervene

The mining truck owners have finally come down on their demand. From 14 rupees per tonne per kilometer to 12 rupees 50 paise and diesel at 52 rupees per litre.



To arrive at a consensus, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has now assured to urge Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to agree on this demand.The environmentalists are also happy with this compromise formula.

This was the consensus found during Goa365 debate Rannmalem on the truck owners’ demand. The truck owners were represented by joint secretary of South Goa Truck Owners’ Association Laxman Sawant Desai,

Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Subhash Phaldesai and environmentalist Ramesh Gawas.
