Margao vendors want action against Illegal Vendors

Margao Market vendors met Margao Municipal Council chairperson Babita Prabudessai and Chief Officer, Agnelo Fernandes on Thursday to insist that the civic body stop illegal vendors from doing business in the city.

The issue of illegal vendors has long been a problem in Margao.

These vendors sit along footpaths of the MMC garden, outside the police station and railway station.

Commodities like fruits, vegetables, clothes and household supplies are sold to them.

Hardly anybody goes to the municipal market to shop and the livelihood of the market vendors gets hit.

MMC market vendors along with President of Gandhi Market, Rajendra Azgaonkar, met the Chairperson and Chief Officer to raise this issues and demand solutions.
