Madgao municipality wants to remove hoardings from the garden

Madgao chairperson Babita Prabhudesai said renting out the cage for advertising was a big scam.

 The issue of caging the Jardin of Madgao for advertising revenue was raised by councillor Clara Fernandes at the council meeting held recently.

The whole council agreed that it was an eyesore.

Chairperson Babita Prabhudesai said the municipality was also not earning anything from it.

While going ahead with its demolition, the municipal authorities are also studying the legalities since its contract has been extended till 2025.
