While the Government is claiming of improving the quality of education along with infrastructure at primary level, the Govt primary school at Tambdi-Kelbai in Kurti Ponda is facing various severe issues.

One among them is threat of a huge tree which can collapse at any moment on the school.

An 11 year old had lost his life recently in Revoda after a huge tree had collapsed over their house.

This Govt Primary School in Tambdi Kelbai Kurti has strength of 44 students studying in 1st to 4th.

Representatives of Parent Teachers Association informed that the parents are scared to send their wards to schools in fear of this particular tree which may fall on the school premises at any moment.

They say despite several complaints, authorities have failed to act in this matter.

The PTA representatives also informed that the school does not have adequate number of teachers; secondly they say there is no play ground for the students of this primary school and there is also no toilet facility for girls in the school.
