Just a week ago Swacha Bharat Abhiyan was observed all over the state. But it looks like it was just for a day.

Villagers of Sao Jose de Ariel spotted hazardous bio-medical waste dumped on the road side in their village on Monday late evening.

They want the authorities to look into the matter and take immediate action.

Local Sarpanch Pires D’ Costa said they called the police to complain but they refused to cooperate.

Later PSI of Maina Curtorim Police Station Rohan Nageshkar told Goa 365 that the case has been registered under Section 8 of Goa Non biodegradable garbage control Act and further investigations are on.
