Green Goa Foundation threatens to file contempt petition against police, panchayat and municipalities

Green Goa Foundation has threatened to file a contempt petition against police, municipalities and village panchayats for not following the High Court directions vis-à-vis stray cattle on highways.

In 2007, the High Court of Bombay at Goa had given directions to panchayats and municipalities to impound stray cattle sitting on the roads.

The court had also directed the police to patrol the highways and drive away cattle if found on roads. 

Green Goa Foundation says no one is following  the High Court directions .
