Goans slam MPT chairman for calling opponents ‘outsiders’

The citizens in large number along with political leaders on Saturday slammed the MPT authority for stating that outsiders were dominating the hearing on coal dust pollution, dredging and berth expansion.



The moment combined public hearing for all three proposed expansion projects at MPT started, NCP leader José Philip Dsouza raised point of order seeking apology from the MPT for stating that outsiders attended the meeting remark. 


Vasco-based Environmental Activist Advocate Savio Correia too joined the chorus demanding apology from the MPT. 



Later Fishermen community leader from Khariwado Custodio D’Souza questioned as to why the presiding officer Swapnil Naik imposed time restrictions.
