A big job racket has come to light.

Some Goan youth have received appointment letter as a Forest Guard from Forest Department, without even applying for it.

And the letter demands 15 thousand rupees.

The letters have come from Faridabad by speed post.

Goa’s forest department official has assured to file a police complaint in this regard.

This is the appointment letter that was sent to several people without them even applying for these posts.

The letter is sent on an improper letterhead.

It has the national emblem on top in place of the official Goa Government emblem.

The body of this letter is typed in Hindi.

In Goa all the official communication is done either in English or in Konkani or Marathi but never in Hindi.

The letter is also stamped and signed on behalf of the Forest Department but name of the signing authority is nowhere mentioned.

The letter asks for 15 thousand rupees through online payment as security deposit within 24 hours.

If not paid, the appointment gets cancelled.

No government department asks for such security deposit for appointment.

The letterhead has a local address, but the envelop says it’s sent from Faridabad.

There is this phone number mentioned on the letter, we even tried to contact on this number.

It was received by Suresh Patil but when we inquired about these letters the person on other side abruptly disconnected the call.

But Congress MLA Alex Reginald Lourenco says he has sought assurance from the officials.
