Flood like situation in Cancona, due to negligence of WRD contractors

The farmers from rural village of Khotigao in Cancona have suffered heavy losses. The sudden rise in level of water of Talpan River is considered the reason for these losses.
Locals say the contractors of WRD should consider doing their works more responsibly.
The incessant rains are a reason for this tragic incident but the main reason is the hindrances in flow of river water at the check dams built on stream of river.
WRD contractors failed to clear the way on time. This in fact led to big wooden logs being stuck across the check dams.
After the rains the water level increased and water entered the fields of local farmers thus damaging their fields.
