Dharbandora RTO office, a nightmare for locals

Getting any work done at the Dharbandora RTO office is a nightmare. In this present day and age of digitalization and e services, people who come to the office for any of the services like vehicle registrations,

licenses or paying of taxes have to come back numerous times as there is either no electricity or no internet connectivity at the office.

To get work done in this office is as if you are buying a lottery. You go to the RTO office assuming that you will get your work done in 10 minutes. And then there is no connectivity. Or there are no lights.

And you have to go back home and come back another day. In fact books have been maintained by the jittery staff as they would have to bear the responsibility in case there is a backlash from people who have to keep on coming back to the office for minor jobs that would normally take five to 10 minutes.

Also the fact that office is so far from the beaten path that transport to and fro from the office is another nightmare adding to the problems.

Officials are aware of the situation but plead helplessness as these issues are beyond their control. They say they sympathize with the people but can’t do anything.

The man in charge Madan Fatarpekar says that he was pushing to shift the office to some other better place for the past year.
