Looks like IITian Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is in a mood to pull out IIT from Loliem village of Canacona taluka.

At a cabinet briefing, he said the government is in the process of identifying new land for the proposed IIT project. A final decision in this regard would be taken by next month.

A final decision in this regard would be taken by next month.

Loliem village of Canacona taluka had a historic gram sabha to decide about the IIT project since some villagers were opposing it.

The voting on the project is still pending.

The local Communidade has however decided to allot its land on a secluded plateau.

Meanwhile, CM has taken this decision.
