Bharat Mukti Morcha has strongly protested against the comments made by Union Ministers and the state chief minister over issues related to coal transportation and river nationalization.

Bharat Mukti Morcha has called upon the Government of India to amend the National Waterways of India Act 2016 to exclude Goa’s six rivers from schedule.

President of Bharat Mukti Morcha Goa Maggie Silveira said that if union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari wants to know the plight of the fishermen in Goa he should come and meet them.

Maggie questioned chief minister Manohar Parrikar as to why people of Goa were not taken into confidence while including Goa’s rivers in schedule to National Waterways of India Act 2016.
