Bhandari Samaj wants FIR against Vishnu Wagh withdrawn

Bailancho Ekvott, however, is of the opinion that parts of the book have insulted woman. And so the controversy over the book by poet-politician and former Journalist refuses to die down

Poet Vishnu Wagh’s collection of poems Sudhir Sukt has generated a huge controversy in the state.

This has prompted woman activist and president of Bailancho Ekvott to file an FIR against the poet.

Goa Naik Bhandari Samaj says the language used in the book is commonplace in the state.

The samaj wants the FIR against the poet withdrawn.

 Bailancho Ekvott president Auda Viegas has however said poet Vishnu Wagh has used a very lowly language even calling a woman a cow.
