The pollution control board had written to the GSIDC and   Margao Municipal Council to send their officials for joint inspection but no official from these bodies turned up.

Junior environment  engineer  Digvijay Dessai and his colleagues observed the situation and have decided to  write to the higher authorities.

The joint inspection was scheduled  after United Goans Foundation wrote to the Goa State Pollution Control Board about the dumped waste.
