Sakhali town, surroundings suffer from pathetic roads

The whole stretch of road from Honda Bridge to Bicholim Bridge is full of potholes and is becoming dangerous for commuters.

This is the state of the State Highway passing from Sankhali.  It has become a bumpy ride for all the commuters passing from this road.

People usually drive or ride in the wrong lane of approaching vehicles from the opposite side to avoid the huge potholes thus risking their lives. The road stretch has become highly accident prone.

Despite requests from the local authorities the PWD has also not yet taken any steps with regards to repairs or reconstruction of these roads. 

While the local MLA says the work will be done by PWD by next year, the Sankhali Municipality has decided to take the responsibility on its own. The civic body has now invited tenders for repairs of these roads.
