RP2021 consigned to dustbin; govt moots new RP 2030

The Town and Country Planning minister Vijai Sardessai said that the new Regional Plan 2030 would be conceptualised taking the house in confidence within 6 months.
Vijai also promised to amend the TCP act and strengthen the TCP department within the next 7 days.
Vijai said that they would start working on Regional Plan 2030 immediately putting to rest the bogey of RP2021 once and for all.
He was replying to a question by opposition Leader Babu Kawlekar and vociferous Congress MLA Reginaldo Lourenco on the hardships caused to the public due to non completion of the regional plan 2021 during question hour.
