Reginald urges health minister to start organ transport facility at GMC hospital

Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has urged the Health Minister to start full-fledged organ transplant facility at Goa Medical College and Hospital. He said the Government should not support a private hospital with special permission in this regard.

Aleixo alleged that the Health  Secretary is encouraging  private doctors indirectly to set up an organ transplant facility.

He said earlier there was scam wherein patients were taken abroad for the kidney transplant and charged thirty lakh rupees per transplant.
