New city gardens to have heritage conservation committee approval

Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai has said that henceforth new city gardens will have to be approved by the Heritage Conservation Committee.



The TCP minister said he has appointed a heritage conservation committee.

Vijai was speaking after launching  the  beautification work of the external areas of  the wholesale fish market in Fatorda on Monday.

The work is estimated to cost  50 lakh 77 thousand.

He  promised the Maddel people that very soon, their woes  with regards to the stink of the wholesale market would end soon.

He said the wholesale fish market could be a major revenue earner for the Fatorda constituency.
