My Govt successful when accidents come down to half: CM

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said he would judge success of his government only when the number of road accidents would come down to half of what it is today.

However, Parrikar and Sudin Dhawalikar publicly displayed divergent views on the solution to bring down accidents.

The occasion was laying of foundation stone on Wednesday for the improvement of Old Goa-Karmali Junction situated along the Ribandar Bypass on the national highway 4A.

The project worth 47 crore rupees would also have a vehicular underpass. While speaking, Parrikar felt accidents won’t reduce with infrastructure but by following traffic rules.

But Sudin felt building infrastructure would bring down number of accidents.
