MOU signed for 261 kms green highways in state

The state government and the Centre have signed an MOU to build green highways in Goa. The MOU was signed between the Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways & Shipping Nitin Gadkari and Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited on 13 of October.

The total length of the road to be considered under this Green Highways Policy is 261 kms and the approximate cost is 64 crore rupees.

The funding is by the Union ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the work will begin shortly.
