Govt to train Goans for Mopa jobs

Goans would be trained to ensure that their skills were compatible with the needs of the jobs available at the upcoming Mopa airport.



 Training would start as soon as construction of the airport started. The government would ensure that locals are given priority in employment at the Mopa International Airport. 

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was replying to a question on the generation of employment for Goans at the Mopa airport by Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserrate during question hour on Tuesday.

This issue whether goans would again miss the bus as far as employment goes at the soon to come up international airport dominated question hour Tuesday. Mopa will generate around 2000 jobs at the airport premises itself.

The chief minister said that the government was taking care of all the members of the dhangars community affected by the airport
