First phase of 9 crore rupee Mayem Lake development project complete

The first phase of much-delayed Mayem lake development work is over. It is likely to be inaugurated this tourist season.
The MLA and the sarpanch are in favor of giving preference to locals in self-employment.
The project is being carried out by GTDC. The budgeted amount is about 9 crore rupees. The contractor is Messers Bagkiya constrictions private limited.
The project comprises development by providing facilities such as an amphitheater of 150 capacity, children’s play area and a mirror maze, landscaping and illumination. Goa 365 spoke to the local MLA as also the sarpanch.
