After fire, Panaji RTO to now function from Thu at a new place

Capital City Road Transport Organisation office will begin functioning from Thursday, albeit from its temporary office at the PWD office near the old patto bridge. The old office is undergoing major renovations after it was gutted by a fire on Monday.

Speaking to Goa365 Director of Transport Nikhil Dessai said that files getting burnt had created a major loss but they were lucky as they had quite a large number of records online and electronicallly backup.

He said that the RTO office will resume its temporary functioning from Thursday as the PWD and other experts were conducting a thorough examination of the office at the KTC complex.

After the fire incident that took place on Monday at the KTC bus the RTO was gutted along with other shops.
