RP30: Land owners of no-development zone could buy construction rights elsewhere

The coalition government led by Manohar Parrikar has devised a new concept of exchanging rights of land use from no development zone to the development zone and go for constructions.

Based on this, the government wants to formulate a new Regional Plan 2030.

This was a major highlight of the Common Minimum Programme announced by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday.

The owners whose land falls in no development zones can buy the rights of development from the owners who have not utilized construction rights fully.

This is the way Parrikar explained it.
