The Manohar Parrikar has taken a major decision on recruitment procedure.

It would reduce the whole process from one a half year to one month.

The cabinet on Wednesday decided to start a collegiate system like corporates to decide on the posts required in any department.

And then a high-level committee headed by the chief minister will sanction the posts. No new cabinet approval would be required.

As per the cabinet decision, the new system would work for one year.

In the first step, the joint secretaries of ARD, Personnel, and Finance would sit with the officers of the concerned department and discuss the requirement of posts.

The joint proposal would then go to the high powered committee, headed by the CM.

It would consist of the Chief Secretary and the secretaries of ARD, Personnel and Finance.

Parrikar said that the process would start in 15-20 days and the first results would be out by the first week of December.

The cabinet also sanctioned 59 posts for the Directorate of Higher Education.
