Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has announced an Educational Development Fund of up to 600 crore rupees. It would not lapse with the financial year.

And it would begin with around 100 crore rupees this year

He has also mooted an idea of grading from A plus to C grade for the mid-day meal. All C graded contracts would be canceled.

Parrikar once again stressed upon quality education.

He also said his decision to continue grants for English medium primary schools was a policy decision.

But he believes in the principle of primary education in child’s mother tongue.
