Use of modern mechanisms to preserve heritage must: Vijai

 This is what Minister for Archives and Archaeology Vijai Sardesai said. The Goa Forward Minister also spoke of starting initiatives such as Heritage Tourism in the state.

He also added that he will propose a new building of the department on priority bases as these are Asia’s oldest archives.

 Minister for Archives and Archaeology Vijai Sardesai was addressing media after his visit to the archives and archaeology office in Panaji.

The minister also has plans of developing various heritage sites and preserving them.

He said a fire safety audit of the present office of department should be undertaken to check whether there are safety measures.
