‘Navprabha’ completes 47 years, to launch App soon

Goa’s leading daily Navprabha celebrated its 47th anniversary on Tuesday. The oldest Goan Marathi daily has been a witness of an era of Goan history.



Navprabha is now planning to launch an app soon.Navprabha was launched on 15th August in the year 1970.

Since then Goans have seen a page of history of the state unfold through pages of Navprabha.

Generations after generations, Navprabha has always been the first choice of Goans because of trustworthiness. 

With an archival system in place of all its issues since the very first, the newspaper has built a reputation and is today entering the digital era. Satyanarayan Mahapuja was organized on the occasion of the 47th anniversary. 

Several leaders including Chief Minister Parrikar, Speaker Dr. Pramod Sawant, Leader of Opposition Babu Kavlekar, Former CM Pratapsingh Rane visited the Navprabha office and participated in the joy of the staff.

A unique book of letters to the editor by Tukaram Shetgaonkar was released by former editor of Navprabha Suresh valve in presence of the editors of Navprabha and The Navhind Times, Paresh Prabhu and Arun Sinha respectively.

Shetgaonkar has been writing letters to Navprabha from last 30 odd years.
