Transplantation must for organ donation to succeed, says specialist

He said preserving donated organs is meaningless unless they are transplanted on to a needy person.    

VO Dr Rahul Kakodkar was a guest speaker at an awareness programme of organ donation at Margao organized by Indian Medical Association Margao Chapter on Thursday. A number of doctors, including surgeons, attended the talk. Goa is behind other states in popularizing organ donation. The talk, therefore, focused on creating awareness about the donation of organs and help save lives.
