Raid on illegal quarries in Dharbandora flops; machines, workers disappear

Simply because the operators were apparently tipped off in advance about the surprise raid.

The workers fled and the machinery also disappeared. But Dharbandora Mamlatdar has confirmed that the quarries are illegal.

But he could only find the stones dug out and cut with machines and two-three huts built around it.

But there were neither machines nor any worker at the site.

The Mamlatdar says he would follow up the case.
