PWD offcials assures to start soling work at slippery road stretch in Cuncolim

 The PWD has sought a 15 days’ time to carry out the soling work. The inspection came after Green Goa Foundation issued a one-month ultimatum to the PWD to rectify the road stretch.

Green Goa Foundation had written to the PWD about the condition of the road where two persons have already lost their lives. Despite representations,  the PWD  had failed to rectify the slippery condition of the road.

The PWD had dumped mud with a view to widening the road prior to the monsoon. During the monsoon, the sides of the road became slippery resulting in the deaths of two people.  One person had fallen down and suffered the fracture.
