Pay parking to be re-introduced in Panaji, new CCP building to be ready in 4 years

Corporation of the City of Panaji intends to introduce pay parking again in the city.



 The charges will be 20 rupees for two hours for a four-wheeler while the rate for a two-wheeler will be four rupees for four hours.

Mayor Surendra Furtado has said the new CCP building will be ready within 4 years.

Surendra told media that hitherto the sopo, pay parking contracts that were drafted by the CCP staff in connivance with the contractors were one sided. 

He said henceforth the contracts will be drafted by CCP lawyer Prannoy Kamat.  

Congressman Surendra has assured to work with new Panaji MLA and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

He informed media that he congratulated Manohar on his electoral victory. He said there will be no ego problem to work with Manohar to make Panaji one of the most beautiful cities in the country.

He said tenders will be floated soon for the first phase of the new CCP building.
