Mauvin proposes new overbridge at New Vaddem

Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho wants to construct another parallel rail overbridge connecting Shantinagar and New Vaddem.

The Panchayat Minister inspected the old bridge along with PWD officials.

There had been previous reports that the area near the rail overbridge has become a meeting point for drug addicts.

There were even some cases of suicide.

Hence, it was decided that there was a need to erect a wire mesh fencing there.

Mauvin also wanted a police outpost to be built there after demolishing the existing toilets given that they are in dilapidated condition.
