Margao Ravindra Bhavan Chairman cries over huge pending bills

Chairman of Margao’s Ravindra Bhavan Prashant Naik has said he is paying the pending bills left by the previous committee.



He said the previous committee had either organized or helped to organise programmes at various other talukas without a mandate.

Ex-chairman of Ravindra Bhavan had no comment on the allegations.

Prashant said Damodar had borrowed to organize programmes and events.  He said hence forth there will be no celebrations with borrowed money.

The Ravindra Bhavan chairman said the first instalment of 24 lakh rupees has been paid to clear some of the pending bills.

He said the outstanding amount was more than 60 lakh rupees. 

Prashant was briefing media on the programme of patriotic songs to be organized on 15th of August at Ravindra  Bhavan.

Prashant said the previous committee organized or helped organise programmes at various other talukas

He said the committee had no mandate to do this.

 Asked for his comment on the allegations, ex-chairman Damodar Naik sheepishly said he had no comments.
