Kadamba cancels bus trips to Maharashtra to avoid possible violence

The Kadamba Transport Corporation put on hold bus trips on 14 routes lest the buses may be damaged because of the staff of Maharashtra Road Transport Corporation went on strike.



This was to protest the failure of the corporation to implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.

  The strike on the flip side has affected operations KTCl operations resulting in commuters travelling on 14 routes getting affected.

KTCL has hidden its buses in Kholapur, Sawantwadi and Belgaum to avoid any possible violence.

KTCl chairman Carlos Almeida has said if the situation does not improve, Kadamba will seek police protection through the district collectors to resume operations.
