Hanuman tirth, the ancient spring with a small lake at Varkhande Ponda will soon be restored with its old glory.

Water Resources Minister Vinod Palyekar has assured the people of Ponda that this work of beautification of the old spring will be taken on priority.

This historical spring which is near the Hanuman temple at Varkhande Ponda lies in a neglected state, with garbage all around.

Locals do their ganpati visarjan at this place but since the water body is badly polluted they want it to be cleaned.

The WRD minister inspected the area in presence of the locals and assured them an immediate action.
