Haj committee denies charges of local Muslim groups

Chief of the Goa Haj Committee Shaikh Jinahas termed the allegations against the committee as false. He said that the Congress Party was misguiding certain sections of the community and that is why they were making such allegations.

Local Muslim organizations from Margao had questioned the Hajj Committee’s statement that it lacked funds.

They had said that the committee was not ready to pay for the expenditure of stay of pilgrims at Verna.

They had also demanded the immediate intervention of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
