Govind encourages farmers to cultivate fallow land in Bhetki-Khandola

Yes, it’s true that large number of Goan have stopped farming. But things are also changing very fast.



The farmers of Betki-Khandola have started farming activity once again after keeping their paddy fields of 700 acres barren for two years.

And the initiative in this regard is taken by minister and local MLA Govind Gaude.

The farmers could not cultivate the fields as they had no incentives.

Manual harvesting was not only time consuming but costly too.

Hence the land was lying fallow for several years. 

Local MLA and minister Govind Gaude  came to  their rescue.

He provided seeds and harvesting machine.
