Goa to now have heart treatment machines at taluka level

There is a good news for the people living in rural areas. The health department will install modern machinery and equipment for the heart patients as well as doctors for the people suffering with psychological ailments.



At the district hospitals as well as all the primary health centres.

Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane said that special cardiac and other necessary modern machineries have been ordered and will be placed at main hospitals around the state.

He also mentioned that doctors have been appointed from the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour to work at the hospitals in Goa.

Health minister Vishwaeet Rane said that medical machineries worth 5 crore rupees will be installed at the hospitals in Goa.

Soon the government hospitals such as Hospicio, Ponda, Chicali, and Mapusa will have new x-ray machines, ultrasound machines, mobile x-ray machines.

He said this will give quick and better service to the public.

Vishwajeet also mentioned that 33 doctors, 11 dentists and 2 psychiatrists from IPHB will be posted in these hospitals so that people do not have to travel to the city hospitals or GMC hospital.

The health department will also introduce five new cardiac ambulances in the state. The ambulances will have cardiac specialists.

Vishwajeet said that the RMD at Sada is in a bad condition. He said repairs will be taken up by JSW under the CSR activity.
