Goa Dairy poll on Sun to mark with Sumul & Scandals

Election of Goa Dairy on Sunday would be very interesting. There are two panels. One led by existing chairman Madhav Sahakari and another one opposing him. Sahakari alleges that his opponents are supporters of Sumul.

The opponents however claim that they want to clear the mess created in Goa Dairy by exposing all the scandals, which led to the poor state of Goa Dairy.

Goa Dairy has to hold election of the new board of 12 members as per the order passed by the cooperative tribunal earlier.

Because the high court dismissed the petition filed by Sahakari, who had challenged this order.

Sahakari has now come out with his own panel. Goa has total 165 village-level milk supplying societies. Sahakari’s panel is challenged by a group of milk suppliers, calling it Goa Dairy Bachao panel.

Sahakari calls them supporters of Sumul, which is set up to compete with Goa Dairy. But this panel claims that they want to streamline Goa Dairy, which is full of scandals.
