Cumbharjuve-kar upset over TV news misreporting their Sangodd

Because one TV channel projected their float of Saangod in a wrong way. The float was on the recent arrest of Baba Ram Rahim on rape charges.

One video of sangod float of villagers portraying Baba Ram Rahim was highlighted by India TV on last Friday.

The misleading text plates also portrayed a wrong picture in this video.

The person who portrayed the character of Baba Ram Rahim is Laxman Raikar fondly known as Babu Shet in the village as well as in and around Mashel.

Raikar is a goldsmith by profession and has a jewellery firm in Mashel. He says the mainstream media should not highlight anything as ‘viral’ since it can lead to problems to people.

Renowned artist from the village of Cumbharjuve Dr Shivaji Shet was one of the judges at the competition. He found nothing objectionable in the float.
