The roads in Mapusa town are in a total mess.

Congress party has thrown a challenge to the government.

It is ready to repair the roads at its own cost and has sought permission from the government.

Mapusa being the headquarters of North Goa district the visitors and locals are forced to endure the hardships with no end in sight.

The mud dumped on the roads to fill the potholes makes the condition worse.

Congress’ North Goa district president Amarnath Panjikar and NSUI president Mahableshwr Morajkar have strongly criticized the PWD, singling out local MLA and minister Francis D’Souza  for the mess.

Gutters and potholes in Mapusa market pose danger to commuters.

Congress men allege that work at the Bastora  Junction on the national highway 17 is undertaken without proper diversion for motorists to move.

The section has become accident prone. There have been innumerable accidents.
