CISF didn’t allow to board patient & old lady at the airport

The CISF at the Dabolim airport has come under fire because they held up a family of five including a cancer patient and 83-year old lady from boarding the flight to Mumbai.

The reason was that one of the family members clicked a photo of the CISF personnel. Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida has demanded action against the misbehavior, due to which the whole family was held up for almost 10 hours.

Mumbai-based Goan Patricia Afonso works at Mumbai airport. She was going back to Mumbai by 11 o’ clock on Sunday night flight along with four others including her 83-year old mother-in-law.

The arguments started because the travel ticket on the mobile was not visible and the CISF insisted on a hard copy.

Meantime, one of the family members clicked a photo of the arguing CISF man. This made the policemen furious and they did not allow them to board the flight. Finally they left on Monday afternoon by 1 o’ clock flight.

Patricia’s police complaint states that she is a cancer patient and had to undergo a treatment on Monday morning.

The scuffle led to Vasco’s BJP MLA Carlos Almeida reaching the airport at midnight. He arranged their stay in a hotel and has now demanded a strict action against the CISF personnel who harassed the ailing patients and senior citizens.

The airport police have forwarded the police compliant to the Airport Authority of India for further action.
