Sugarcane farmers withdraw their assembly morcha

The Sugarcane farmers have withdrawn their march to the assembly complex which they had scheduled on Friday. They say Government has already considered their demand of hiking the price by 500 Rs.

The farmers under banner of Akhil Gomantak Us utpaadak sanghatna had decided to march to the assembly as mark of protest against their unfulfilled demand of raising the price of sugarcane.

They have thanked the agriculture minister and Government for prompt action on their prolonged demand.
