The issue of filing of FIRs hit centre stage once more with questions being asked on what criteria are being used by police to decide when to register FIRs despite apex court directions.

Now an aggrieved complainant says he will have to approach the high court for justice to get an FIR registered on a corruption case which has been wetted and given the go ahead by non other then the Anti corruption Branch itself.

But the FIR is against a former top cop, and this could be a cause for delay.

But on the other hand on Thursday the chief minister Manohar Parrikar had said that the police had registered the FIR against the poems former deputy speaker Vishnu Wagh.

Munnalal Halwai had filed a complaint against former Goa IGP Sunil Garg accusing him of corruption.

He told the media on Saturday that the police are not taking any action on his complaint despite him have submitted evidence backing his allegations but they were quite prompt in filing a FIR in other cases.
