Francis says Madkai desecration not ‘his’ act; Political angle not ruled out: CM

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar informed the house on Wednesday that Political angle cannot be ruled out in this matter.

Around 12 crosses were found desecrated from graveyards and bones were found to be removed out of the niches in this cemetery in Karanjale, Madkai on Tuesday.

This issue was raised by Leader of opposition Babu Kavalekar during Zero Hour on Wednesday.

CM Parrikar informed that Police investigation is on right track in this matter.

Police officials inspected the Madkai Cemetery site on Wednesday as part of their further investigation.

DySP Sunita Sawant was personally present along with the Police force at the site.
