Clash between Harmal locals and NCB sleuths

This fracas ultimately landed at the Harmal police station with the police having to intervene and take action to defuse the situation with neither side willing to back down.

Locals claim that the 4 member NCB team refused to identify themselves and wanted to inspect certain parts of the shack.

When the owner was called, they allege that he was assaulted.

This outraged the neighbours who attacked the officers forcing one of them J Ranjan to fire in the air.

Local MLA Dayanand Sopte visited the police station.
