1.16 Kg seized by Goa Customs at Dabolim Airport

The Air Intelligence Unit of Goa Customs on Sunday caught an international passenger attempting to smuggle 1.16 Kg of raw gold worth 32 lakh rupees market value.



The transit passenger was travelling on an Air India flight from Dubai to Bangalore via Goa.

The Air Intelligence Unit of the Goa Customs searched seized the 10 gold bars covered in balloons from the toilet of Air India aircraft at Goa International Airport at Dabolim.

The passenger was later interrogated and few identical balloons were recovered from him. This is the 9th case of Gold seizure by Goa Air Customs since April this year.
